My heart celebrates the whirlwind of humanity that I have had the privilege to witness over the past few weeks. The beauty of our existence!
I traveled to Raleigh for a rally to speak my truth against the war on women April 28th with a group of women as passionate as I am about women’s rights. I have watched the primary come and go and the impassioned voters, including myself, speak our truth in regard to amendment one. I have listened to stories, one after another, filled with life! Stories from those with whom I can relate and those with whom I disagree. As I engage, fully present with each story, my being is consumed with wonder! I smile deeply in my heart at the amazing grace of God and my soul is overwhelmed with gratitude for each story ~ each unique and diverse miracle!
My hearts cry has been for wisdom! I press through my fear to embrace my own vulnerability and explore every emotion that rises within me during the whirlwind. I approach my own heart, as well as that of another, with intentional curiosity ~ listening for the heartbeat of our Creator, who speaks with the softly spoken words of divine grace and love! Judgement melts away. Compassion. Gentleness of Spirit. Humbling knowledge of our shared humanity breathes into my soul a great celebration of possibility!
I continue to seek wisdom and the heart of God in the midst of the whirlwind. The more I understand human behavior the more I stand in awe of life! The complexity of what it means to be alive. I have seen courage, brokenness, searching souls experiencing the wooing song that will embrace, heal, and transform. Mystery… Beauty… Lost in wonder of the whirlwind, as peace cascades over my heart, and hope continues to be birthed for humanity. We exist with limited consciousness of reality and often times hold unrealistic expectations of ourselves and others.
